Award-winning Cheltenham restaurant Prithvi, which takes its name from the ancient Sanskrit translation meaning Mother Earth, proves that trend-leading carpet design and fast delivery times need not be mutually exclusive.

Behind the design for the brand new look interiors is Cheltenham-based architectural designer, Harsha Mistry who runs Studio Geomechtry. Using a sophisticated colour palette of mallard green, sapphire blue and graphite the elegant interiors feature contemporary gold halo light fixtures and a striking monochrome QuickWeave™ axminster carpets by Brintons.

The QuickWeave™ collection was chosen to meet the demand for design-led woven carpet that can be made to order and installed in below average lead times. A critical part of the brief was to design and deliver the carpet in a short time frame.

QuickWeave™ broadloom woven axminster carpet is made using the ‘Brintons blend’ of 80% wool / 20% nylon and is available in four quality specifications from 7 to 10 rows, making it suitable for all types of area from light to heavy use. Regardless of specification, the wool element in Brintons’ famous blend results in a luxurious soft feel while the nylon component ensures the carpet will be hardwearing for longevity.

The bold geometric design for this project was recoloured using the Inception colour pallet, combining striking ambient tones of graphite and black with a pop of cream.
