Module 1: Designing for Woven Axminster Carpets
A RIBA approved seminar detailing the full process involved in design and project management within woven axminster carpet production.
This session will explore the key aspects of designing for axminster carpet production, featuring everything from the initial brief through the design process showing a selection of example projects. It will follow the process from designing through planning stages to managing the project right through to installation.
Discover the comparison of designing for conventional axminster against Electronic Jacquard, and the planning involved, and how EJ can be used to produce complex multi-part, large scale floorscapes in a variety of interiors.
Module 2: Carpet Technology
This RIBA approved CPD seminar explores the technology involved in the process of manufacturing carpets. Learn about the yarn types and blends that are prominent in carpets and the different manufacturing processes involved. The presentation also gives a valuable insight in to new emerging weaving technologies that give greater creative freedom to architects and designers.
Module 3: Carpet Manufacturing Processes
This CPD module details the tremendous variety across different manufacturing processes and the relative attributes of each method. Also explore the different types of carpet construction and their features and benefits.
Module 4: Factory Tour
Brintons RIBA approved factory tour will be carried out at our manufacturing site in Vouzela, Portugal.
The factory tour objectives are to educate the specifier on how woven carpets are manufactured. Review different types of manufacturing processes involved in making the carpets and look at the new emerging weaving technologies such as Brintons High Definition Weave that gives more creative freedom to architects and designers.
