The Greenway Hotel and Spa

The Greenway Hotel and Spa commissioned Brintons to supply carpets for its newly refurbished guest rooms.

The beautiful Spa hotel is tucked away on the outskirts of the rolling Cotswolds, near the Regency town of Cheltenham. Set in eight acres of stunning countryside grounds, the 16th Century Elizabethan manor house hotel is the proud owner of 4 AA Red Stars reflecting the team’s exceptional service and hospitality.

Owned by The Eden Group, the hotel sought to bring a classic style with a contemporary twist to its guest rooms, combining the history of the building with its modern approach to the guest experience.

Working alongside The Eden Group’s interior designer, Lucy Yarwood, Brintons supplied carpet from The Country Life Collection, the perfect choice to reflect the natural beauty of the hotel’s grounds and bring a sense of nature indoors to its guest rooms.

Woven using 100% undyed British wool, the collection celebrates the flecks of the natural wool fibre and draws design inspiration from the shapes found in plants and wildlife, recreating them in a three-dimensional textural way.

To create the three-dimensional surface, the carpets are woven using cut and loop technology. In cut-pile manufacture, a knife shears across the woven pile, whereas in loop manufacture, the pile is made from a continuous series of loops.

By combining the two, the result is different heights in the pile which creates a tactile finish and the soft, flecked colours of the undyed wool creates subtly different and interesting colour changes to give the carpet a contemporary twist.
