The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes
The Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes in Orlando, Florida is an award-winning oasis nestled in the headwaters of the Everglades. Guests have easy access to world-famous attractions such as Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort and Sea World, while still enjoying the serenity the Everglades. The architecture is directly inspired by Italian grand palazzos and highlighted with details reflecting Florida's tranquil and organic environment. Brintons installation harmonizes with the existing architecture by highlighting the beauty of the Grande Lakes' natural surroundings.
Excerpt from design concept:
As the design developed we incorporated a color palette that depicts a background of watery blue/green shades reminiscent of the Florida lakes with layers of leaves floating above and below the surface. The overlay pattern is a series of gravel pathways in a formal structured design that directly relates to the reflected ceiling plan. The geometry of the design has been carefully planned so that no matter how the ballroom is divided the resulting spaces will be complete gardens within themselves.
Working with Brintons on this project was a very rewarding experience. Their designers took our concepts and developed them into beautiful designs which were exactly what we had visualized. Because of the complexity of this design, many hours were spent working out the details. Had they been incorrect, the scale of the failure would have been huge. Brintons were with us every step of the way including sending a representative to the site to work along side us checking the layout and aesthetic of the geometry. The sensitivity shown in their designs, of both the axminster carpets and the area rugs, is impressive. We have had extremely positive feedback from both the Owners and Ritz-Carlton.
